Impressive art don't you think? (:

If you are between 12-30, or feeling young at heart (even with receding hairline, visible wrinkles and head covered in white hair), here's an invitation nonetheless!

So come and experience the love of our Saviour for no cost! (His death on the cross while we were still sinners! How amazing!) What's more dinner is provided! YUM YUM

See you there!(:

Wednesday 16 January 2008

This blog is seriously infested with cob webs and needs more attention! There will soon be a committee to constantly update and frequent this place :) This is called the Blog Revival Project YAY!!

Anyway 2007 ended off with a youthcamp- Chain Reaction! I think it kinda prepared us for what it is to come in the year ahead. What struck me hardest was the inside-out transformation! :) Can anyone still remember what was that about? Tsktsk.

01 Put off the old nature
02 Put on the neew nature
03 Walk in a manner worthy of our calling
04 God will make a way for us to live the Christian life

Easier to be said than done aye!

The committee did a great job in planning the camp because I personally enjoyed every bit of it! Sessions were inspiring and enlightening (needless to say), games were crazy and fun (thanks to Jomel and Penny!), food was more than enough (happy people with filled tummies) and basically everything went smoothly (thanks to admin and logistics!). Really hafta thank God for His provision and grace :D

There has been major changes in the Youth too if any of you realised! The strongly encouraged Friday corp prayers, Youth Service that falls on every first Saturday of the month and the slight changes within cells. With all these changes made, it really feels that God is drawing TJC closer to Him. Shouldn't we count our blessings everytime we know him a lil more and more? :)

Let's take the opportunity to practice what was preached: to spark a chain reaction and by inviting our friends to join us in youth service for starters! :D

God bless! xoxo

vision

The Joshua Connection youth aims to...

:: Love God with all our hearts, soul, mind and strength (Deut 6:5);
"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."

:: Love the body of Christ through fellowship, discipleship and service (1 Cor 12:27; Eph 4:11-13; Gal 5:13);
"Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” 1 Cor 12:27

"It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." Eph 4:11-13

"You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love." Gal 5:13

:: Love others by sharing the gospel and our lives (Matt 5:14-16; 29:18-20).
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." Matt 5:14-16

"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matt 29:18-20
